Day of the Martyrs

Dirty politics and power struggles aside, there are innocent people who died over the course of Egypt's current revolution. These people died because they could see something most of us could not see. They died because they could see Egypt soaring high in a place of dignity and respect. They could see Egypt become something none of us thought possible. They died for me, they died for you, for our grandparents, and for our children. True heroes, ready to fight a corrupt regime with all its soldiers, guns, and ammo with nothing more than their voices and willpower.

These heroes are the Golden Eagles of the Egyptian revolution.

Seeking a way to honor them, I found all I could do is what I usually do: draw. Today is Day of the Martyrs. I had hoped to draw as many martyrs as possible for today, but I could only finish 8 so far. I will continue to draw until I complete them all, but not today. Today I will go out with my people and try to make true the beautiful vision these martyrs died for. Because that's what all this is about.

Mobile Blog

I've been meaning to mention this for a while: I've created a separate blog for all my mobile content; photos, videos, sounds, notes and whatever material I gather using my mobile phone. http://ganzeer.tumblr.com/

Revolution Signs

Instead of always ending up at the protests unprepared, with mediocre hand-scrawled signs, I decided to sit down and design a few i would like to use. I'm uploading them here as full-size images so anyone can download and print out as flyers, signs, stickers, whatever, it don't matter.
